# HOW TO EDIT THIS FILE:
# The "handy ruler" below makes it easier to edit a package description. Line
# up the first '|' above the ':' following the base package name, and the '|' on
# the right side marks the last column you can put a character in. You must make
# exactly 11 lines for the formatting to be correct. It's also customary to
# leave one space after the ':'.

catdoc: CATDOC & XLS2CSV
catdoc:
catdoc: CATDOC is a program which reads one or more Micro$oft Word files and
catdoc: outputs text to standard output. This version is able to autodetect
catdoc: unicode/non-unicode Word files and recognizes MS-Write files and rtf.
catdoc: Footnotes and fastsaves still not handled. Optionaly, catdoc is
catdoc: able to translate some non-ASCII chars intocorrespoindig TeX escape
catdoc: sequences and convert charsets from Windows ANSI codepage to local
catdoc: codepage of target machine.
catdoc: XLS2CSV does roughly same for Excel files. Concept is that you want
catdoc: to see data, not the way it was created
