fakeroot: Set file permissions in fake root environment - fakeroot 1.9.1
fakeroot:     Fakeroot runs a command in an environment where it appears to
fakeroot: have  root privileges  for file manipulation,  thus allowing (for
fakeroot: example) the creation of Slackware packages with the correct file
fakeroot: permissions without needing to be root.
fakeroot:     This is done by setting  LD_PRELOAD to libfakeroot.so,  which
fakeroot: provides wrappers around getuid,  chown,  chmod, mknod, stat, and
fakeroot: so on. These remember root-only operations without actually doing
fakeroot: them, thus creating a fake root environment.
